Wish You Could Play Like Zeppelin?
Revolutionary New Guitar Lesson DVD

CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla., May 1 /PRNewswire/

MJS Music & Entertainment’s new GUITAR DVD #1 Beginner Basics and Beyond is now available in stores and online. For electric or acoustic, this video offers all you need to survive in the world of guitar! It is designed to be the FASTEST and EASIEST way to learn to play — GUARANTEED! Learn to read guitar music with notation, TAB and charts. Start playing instantly! Learn individual notes, then progressively build up to partial and full chords. Quickly learn to play your first 5 SONGS in the most popular music styles — including Rock, Blues and Country. Bonus features include a built-in metronome to help students keep time and a guitar tuner to help keep your instrument in tune.

With so many other guitar methods currently available, you may ask why MJS felt the need to create this new course. The answer: Many people get the urge to play guitar. Some follow through with their dream and purchase an electric or acoustic guitar. The next step is to find a teacher — and unfortunately, that is where 99% of all would-be guitarists fail. Many of the methods are not easy for self-learners to follow on their own. In some cases, methods and even private guitar lessons progress too slowly to retain the interest of the beginner. On the other hand, it seems that only a chosen few have a natural ability to play the guitar. Is it because these few are “natural musicians” born with the ability to play an instrument? No! Not according to GUITAR DVD #1 creator Mark John Sternal, who has been teaching private guitar lessons for over 17 years. “I’ve taught students ranging from age 5 to 86,’ he says. “I’ve never turned down a student for lack of talent, and I’ve never met a student that I couldn’t teach how to play guitar.” In GUITAR DVD #1, nothing is taken for granted on the part of the student. From beginning to end, Sternal offers highly detailed and thorough explanations, while the video offers fail-proof close-ups of all the material covered.

In 2005 and '06, Mark put his unique method to the test and traveled across the United States to promote his first book GUITAR: Total Scales Techniques and Applications (now also on DVD). Stopping in stores like Guitar Center, Sam Ash, Barnes & Noble and Borders, Mark would set up his Gibson guitars (which also appear in his DVDs) and demonstrate how he uses his approach to quickly take a player from a beginner level through intermediate and advanced. While earlier MJS titles cover a wider range - from beginner to expert in one complete volume — GUITAR DVD #1 Beginner Basics & Beyond is simplified for the absolute beginner.

MJS guitar lesson DVDs are currently available throughout the United States and Canada. GUITAR DVD #1 Beginner Basics & Beyond includes over 3 hours of lesson content, and can be purchased for $14.95. A book version is scheduled for release later this summer.

Real Guitar Hero DVD
MJS Music & Entertainment Complete Guitar Lesson Course

December 5, 2007 Crystal River, FL

MJS Music & Entertainment, LLC has released its answer to the Guitar Hero video game craze. GUITAR DVD: Total Scales Techniques and Applications (TSTA), the latest product from the company, is based on the best-selling method book and CD of the same title. The dual-layered DVD is over 4 hours in length, and teaches students to play like a REAL guitar hero.

“This method is for beginner through professional guitar players, looking to move to the next level,” says MJS President Mark John Sternal, who also performs on the DVD. “I’ve played guitar my whole life. I’ve read nearly every method book out there, and watched dozens of guitar videos. TSTA was designed to reign superior. It is the fastest and easiest way for anyone to achieve the understanding and ability of a true guitar legend.”

On the video, Sternal starts the viewer off with a simplified beginner section, then progressively increases speed and difficulty — adding every conceivable guitar trick and technique along the way. The core of the method applies musical scales to the entire fretboard of the guitar while exploring ways to use them musically. The viewer will learn basic through advanced techniques including hammer ons, pull offs, pick patterns, vibrato, string bending, and two hand tapping — plus techniques exclusive to electric guitar, such as tremolo bar and electronic control tricks. Applications or patterns are introduced to make each scale more melodic by using increment patterns, string skipping, double note or harmony, harmonics, scale notes as chords, and song writing tips. All of these are introduced in a song context. The user will receive thorough examples of how these scales, techniques and applications can be used musically!

To wrap up this amazing DVD, Mark teaches all of the modes and key changes, plus 50 exotic and cultural scales — from America’s Pentatonic or Blues scale to the Spanish, Hungarian, Neapolitan and Japanese scales.

In addition to the new DVD, a book in both English and Spanish for guitar, and an English version for bass guitar, are distributed nationally. The DVD is modestly priced at $24.95. View samples at www.RealGuitarHero.net or visit the parent website www.MJSPublications.com.
